This includes when and what blood tests to order and what medications to prescribe whether topical or systemic.

- Identify when a lesion will require direct immunofluorescence studies.
- Manage patients with inflammatory gingival disease using topical medications.
- Evaluate the rationale for treating gingival leukoplakia with topical immunotherapy or chemotherapy.
